On August 6th and 7th, women from all around the world will play two rounds of disc golf at their local participating PDGA Women's Global Event. Scores from the first two rounds of each participating tournament will be submitted by the individual tournament directors and rated by the PDGA. These round ratings will be totaled and averaged to determine the player's "Global Score."

The 2021 Women's Global Event had 99 registered tournaments that spanned the world, from Florida to Finland, Austin to Australia, Cincinnati to China, with a combined turnout of 3,224 women competing in 23 different PDGA divisions. That number grew by over 1,000 players from 2018. We anticipate even more growth for 2022! The “Southwest Showdown” will be our first official Women’s Global Event in Tucson Arizona!

It is being hosted and directed by women for women. We have ladies traveling to Tucson from surrounding cities and states to play on our (soon to be permanent) premier disc golf course at Pusch Ridge. Sponsorships from local and national businesses are vital to these events and to the growth of women’s disc golf. To ensure that we can accommodate and properly award these talented women and children, we are seeking several sponsors to partner with for our event. Below you will find event sponsorship options that are available to you. In addition to monetary donations, sponsors may also donate products, food, drinks, promotional items, coupons, gift certificates, etc. equivalent to the amount of your desired sponsorship.
